Editor in Chief
Outcrop is a wonderful magazine to edit. It has introduced me to, and allowed me to learn from some truly incredible writers. It has also forced me to get to grips with the fascinating, if at times gruelling, processes of web and product design.
I want Outcrop to present its poets to the world as they deserve to be presented, seriously and with care. To ensure this, we make our cover art by hand and only print on high quality paper to ensure a quality finish.
Beyond our quarterly, Outcrop is looking to expand. We want passionate editors to head one-off; themed issues in an area of their speciality; foreign language issues; and multi-medial issues that combine poetry with the visual arts.
There are further outcrops standing high on the horizon, and we cannot wait to explore them with you.
If you have any questions about submissions or are looking to collaborate please contact us, either by email or through our instagram.
Thank you for your support.
Yours Sincerely
Haig Lucas

Hello there!
Issue 3 is my first with Outcrop, and I couldn’t be more excited to be working on this publication. The community created around this magazine is so creative and talented and open; it has been a joy to read such brilliant writing. We’ve been hard at work bringing Issue 3 to life, and I can’t wait for you to see it!
A little about me:
I’m a Cuban-American poet whose work focuses on the intersection of culture, identity, and senses of place. As of this month, I will be a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh with an MSc in Creative Writing!
Earlier this year, I was shortlisted for the Grierson Verse Prize, and my work has appeared in Interpret Magazine, The Inkwell, Outcrop. and other publications.
