Haig Lucas

Director

I can’t believe that poetry is really about sitting on your own and scribbling (although that is certainly part of it). Poetry is about being out in the world, about interactions with people and things.

The best bit about editing Outcrop is seeing a community grow out of it. From the poets we publish, to our readers, and everyone involved in our events, YOU are what makes this project, and this art wonderful.

About me:

Haig Lucas is a British-Armenian writer and founder of Outcrop Poetry. Some of his favourite poets are John Ashbery, WH Auden, Terence Hayes and Louise Glück. Haig has had work published in WAX Poetry and was recently shortlisted for the Louis Edwards Memorial Prize.
